9 good, 1 bad. it feels much the way it looks. it was a lot brighter and prettier yesterday, more eggplant-colored underneath. can hardly wait for tomorrow.

in more interesting news, i got to meet a friend's puppy tonight. i'm so used to older dogs now that a puppy is a sheer marvel. i forgot how tiny and warm they are, and how limply they'll lie against you (unlike cats). and there's that puppy smell (the good kind, not that other kind). ahhh. i could do with some hanging around puppies!
